Sonia Gandhi ED Polling: The Executive Office asked Parliament Speaker Sonia Gandhi 55 questions over 6 hours. According to officials, this was Gandhi’s second day of questioning in connection with a money laundering case related to National Herald. Officials said he was asked to appear again on Wednesday.
He left the agency office in central Delhi before 7 pm on Tuesday after receiving his statement. The Parliament Speaker arrived at the ED office around 11:00 am with his Z+ armed guards, accompanied by his children Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
Soon after, Rahul Gandhi left the office and Priyanka Gandhi remained in the ED office. Officials said that since he was in another room of the ED office with Priyanka Gandhi, he was able to meet her mother and give her the necessary medicine and treatment. The Speaker of Parliament, once left the ED office around 2 pm and returned around 3:30 pm during the lunch break.
The reception of questions and statements from the 75-year-old Parliament Speaker began at 11:15 a.m. after the first proceedings including confirmation of subpoenas and signing of the list of participants.
