England’s Ben Stokes has announced that he will retire from international cricket after Tuesday’s match against South Africa at his home stadium in Durham.
The 31-year-old all-rounder said that playing all three international formats (T20Is, 50 ODIs and Tests) is currently “unstable”. England Test captain Stokes will face South Africa in the first of three ODIs at Chester-le-Street.
