Buddha Purnima, the most sacred festival of the Buddhists will be celebrated tomorrow with much enthusiasm and solemn devotion across the country.

History uncovers that the development of Lord Buddha occurred on this day quite a while back. Sovereign Siddhartha Goutom was brought into the world on the full moon day at Lumbini of Nepal in 563 BC, achieved preeminent illumination following six years thorough contemplation at Bodhgoya as Buddha and died around the same time at Kushinagar , India .

To check the day, country’s Buddhist people group chalked out different projects, including vivid parades and conversations.
On the event of the Buddha Purnima, President M Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheik Hasina gave separate messages and welcomed the individuals from the Buddhist people group as well as the comrades.

The festivals ordinarily messenger with lighting of lights and lifting of the public and strict banners on all religious communities and reciting of sacrosanct sections from the Tripitaka.

The Buddhist enthusiasts are supposed to offer different gift things, including organic products, blossoms and candles, to sculptures of Lord Buddha over the course of the day.

Denoting the day, Bangladesh Buddhist Federation will organize a daylong program at the International Buddhist Monastery at Merul Badda in the city while Dharmarajik Buddha Mohabihar at Kamalapur will likewise praise the day through different projects.

State Minister for Religious Affairs Md Faridul Haque Khan MP, will join the festival at International Buddhist Monastery at Merul Badda , Dhaka as the central visitor while Secretary of the President’s Office Sampad Barua, Awami League Office Secretary and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Barrister Biplab Barua, US Ambassador to Bangladesh Peter D Haas and Sri Lankan High Commissioner to Bangladesh Professor Sudharshan Seneviratne will join the capacity as unique visitors.

Moreover, the Purnima likewise will be praised in the Buddhist populated locales of Chattogram, Chattogram slope lot, Cumilla, Cox’s Bazar and Patuakhali in a befitting way .
Petitioning God meets, lessons on the existence of Gautam Buddha, strict talk, constant recitation of Buddhist sacred texts, bunch contemplation, parades, adores of the sculpture of Buddha will be featured in the days long projects .

The Purnima will be praised in the port city including Nandankanan Buddhist sanctuary, Katalganj Nabapandit Vihar, Mugholtuli Shakymuni Shawshan Vihar at Agrabad, Purnachar International Buddhists Monasteries at Devpahar, Sarbajanina Bouddha Vihar at Momin street and Biswamoitry Buddha Vihar at Agrabad.

On the event, public and local dailies will distribute various articles while Bangladesh Betar, Bangladesh Television (BTV) and private TV stations will communicate extraordinary projects featuring the meaning of the day.
