LOS ANGELES: Comedian Dave Chappelle was handled during a presentation at the Hollywood Bowl Tuesday night. Safety officers pursued and overwhelmed the aggressor, and Chappelle had the option to proceed with his exhibition while the man was removed in an emergency vehicle.
NBC News announced that the Los Angeles Police Department early Wednesday said the man was conveying a phony firearm with a genuine blade sharp edge inside it. LAPD media relations made no authority declaration of a capture in the hours after the assault, and didn’t quickly answer an Associated Press demand for subtleties.
Chappelle was playing out his standup routine at the amphitheater as a feature of the “Netflix Is a Joke” celebration when the man hurried in front of an audience and handled him. Jamie Foxx was in the wings of the stage and Chappelle expressed gratitude toward him for answering the assault. Chris Rock was there too, and facetiously inquired as to whether the aggressor was Will Smith.
Chappelle was gone after as he was wrapping up an everyday practice in which he discussed how entertainers need to stress more over their own security following the current year’s Academy Awards service where the Oscar-winning entertainer slapped Rock on live TV in response to a kid about his significant other.
“The comic had in a real sense just said he presently has greater security on account of all the ruckus from his kids about the Trans people group,” tweeted Buzzfeed News columnist Brianna Sacks, who went to the show. That’s what she tweeted “while the assailant was getting beat up,” Chappelle “poked a fun at him likely being a Trans man.”
