Veteran Spanish midfielder David Silva has marked a one-year expansion with La Liga’s Real Sociedad for the rest of the 2022-2023 season, the 36-year-old World Cup champ said on Friday.
Silva joined Manchester City in the wake of aiding Spain to the 2010 World Cup and assumed a vital part in four of City’s Premier League wins prior to changing to Real in 2020.
“It was a simple choice with a club like this and their fans,” he said of the San Sebastian outfit in the Basque Country.
Genuine Sociedad won the 2020 Copa del Rey and are presently 6th in the association table with five games remaining.
