The train service from Dhaka to Bhanga through the Padma Bridge will be opened in June next year, said Railways Minister Nurul Islam Sujan on Sunday.
After the initiation of the scaffold one month from now, crafted by introducing the rail line tracks on the extension will begin from July, said the priest while investigating the advancement of development work of Mawa railroad station under Padma Bridge project at Mawa end of Louhajong upazila in Munshiganj.
There were plans to open Dhaka-Mawa-Bhanga rail administration upon the arrival of opening of the Padma Bridge, yet it was unrealistic to chip away at the upper piece of the scaffold as the Padma Multipurpose Bridge Project Authority didn’t get the authorization because of specialized reasons, he said.
He said the advancement of 39 kms rail route from Dhaka to Mawa is around 60.4 percent while the advancement of 42 kms rail line from Mawa to Bhanga is 78% and Bhanga to Jashore is 49.5 percent.
The general advancement of the rail line span from Dhaka to Jashore is 57.50 percent and the all out 172 kilometers rail line project from Dhaka to Jashore will be finished in 2024, he added.
The rail line of Padma Bridge project is around 169 km from Dhaka to Jashore.
The expense of this undertaking has been assessed at around Tk 40,000 crore. The public authority of Bangladesh will fund about Tk 18,000 crore and the Chinese government will give the remainder of the cash.
On May 11, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said the much-advertised Padma Bridge will be introduced in June and arrangements are happening for its opening.
The priest said the work progress of the principal span is 98% while stream preparing is 92% and the advancement of covering work is 91%.
The all out work progress of the venture is 93.50 percent, he said.
About Padma Bridge-
The undertaking, one of the country’s biggest designs, was first supported by the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (Ecnec) with an expected expense of Tk10,161 crore in 2007. On October 14 last year, Prime Minister Sheik Hasina opened the development work on a rail interface among Dhaka and Jashore under the ‘Padma Bridge Rail Link Construction Project.’
The main period of the ‘Padma Bridge Rail Link Construction Project’ will lay out a rail interface among Mawa and Bhanga by means of Janjira and Shibchar through the Padma Multipurpose Bridge.
This will interface Dhaka, Narayanganj, Munshiganj, Shariatpur, Madaripur, Faridpur, Gopalganj, Narail and Jashore.
China Railway Group Limited, a Chinese government-assigned worker for hire, is executing the task under the China G2G framework.
