Railways on the Dhaka-Sylhet route were reopened on Saturday evening after a three-hour delay in a train fire at Srimangal in Moulvibazar district, authorities said.
The rail connect continued at 4 pm as the between city train “Parabat Express” left for Sylhet, said Mohammad Rafiq, station expert of Srimangal rail line station.
The fire broke out at the power vehicle or café vehicle of the moving train around 12:45 pm and spread soon, said Farid Ahmed, station director of Srimangal Railway Station.
Later four firefighting units figured out how to splash the flares following an hour and half lengthy exertion yet three of the AC compertments were charrd.

Sukhen Das Plabon, a traveler of the train, said he saw smoke surging from the train and when he alongside others approached they saw fire. Right away, they informed the Traveling Ticket Examiner (TTE) who requested to stop the train.
A seven part test body has been framed to research the fire episode drove by extra justice of Moulvibazar locale Abdul haque.
