SYDNEY – Thousands of residents have been ordered to evacuate their homes after heavy rains continued along Australia’s east coast and the river quickly crossed dangerous levels on Tuesday (July 5th). The flood crisis has intensified in Sydney.
An estimated 50,000 people living in New South Wales, initially in the western suburbs of Sydney, were told to evacuate or warned on Monday that they might be ordered to evacuate.
