For medical negligence, rural health center workers in Pakistan’s Sindh region decapitated a newborn baby and left it in the mother’s womb, leaving the 32-year-old Hindu woman in a dangerous situation.
This horrific incident prompted the Sindh government to form a Clinical Request Board to expedite the process and track down the culprits.
Professor Raheel said, “The Veel Hindu woman, who has a place with a remote in Thorparkar locale, first went to a rural health center (RHC) in her place but no female gynecologist was accessible. , Who heads the gynecology unit at Jamshoro Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS).
He said RHC staff cut off the baby’s head in the mother’s womb and placed it inside her in a medical procedure led by Sunday. At the time when the lady was facing a dangerous situation, she was taken to a medical clinic in Mithi where there was no office for her treatment.
Eventually, her family took her to LUMHS, where the baby’s body was removed from her mother’s womb, saving her life.
Sikander said the baby’s head was stuck inside and the mother’s uterus ruptured and the head needed to be properly removed to save their lives. The tragic bangle persuaded Dr Juman Bahoto, director general of the Indus Health Services, to arrange a separate inquiry into the case.
He said the inquiry committee would find out what had happened, especially in the absence of a gynecologist and female staff at the RHC in Chachro. Investigative committees will also look into reports that the woman had to endure the trauma of having her video taken while lying on a stretcher. “
