Police on Thursday filed two separate cases of arson and vandalism against ousted President Imran Khan and other senior leaders of his Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party.
The accuses were connected of the episodes of fire at numerous puts by PTI allies in Islamabad on Wednesday late evening during the ‘Azadi’ rally.
In the main case, a First Information Report was enrolled for fire and defacing on the Jinnah Avenue, while a subsequent FIR was sent off for pyromania and harm to property in the Express Chowk region of the city.
Both the FIRs were enrolled on the grievance of police authorities, however the subsequent case plainly named Imran Khan and senior PTI pioneers Asad Umar, Imran Ismail, Raja Khurram Nawaz, Ali Amin Gandapur and Ali Nawaz Awan among others.
