Japanese information technology (IT) companies were encouraged to explore business opportunities in Bangladesh as Dhaka provides various offices and support to IT financiers in its high-tech parks, including tax reduction and one-stop administration.

Bangladesh made the request at an integrated Bangladesh-Japan IT Business Collaboration Networking event at Bangabandhu Hall of the Bangladesh Embassy in Tokyo, an official statement said.

Bangladesh’s diplomat in Japan Shahabuddin Ahmed welcomed the participants and called upon the Japanese companies to hire talented IT experts from Bangladesh to Japan.

He additionally guaranteed all conceivable help from the consulate to begin business in Bangladesh. He said Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheik Hasina announced ‘ICT Products and Services’ as ‘Public Product of the Year 2022’ accentuating the commodity of ICT and advanced gadgets and enhancement of product items.

The occasion was coordinated so as to advance Bangladesh’s ICT industry in Japanese part to observe Bangladesh-Japan 50 years of strategic connection this year. Authorities from Government elements like Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), Embassy Officials as well as different offices like United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) ITPO Tokyo, Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industries (JCCI) took part in the occasion.

Moreover, high level Executives from Japanese IT Companies, NRB laid out IT organizations in Japan, Bangladeshi IT proficient working in noticeable Japanese organizations, Bangladeshi scientists in Japan in this field likewise partook, among others.

Dr. Ariful Haque, serve (Commerce) of the Embassy, conveyed show on Bangladesh-Japan IT Business Collaboration and directed the program, upheld by UNIDO ITPO Tokyo and NRB laid out IT organizations in Japan.
