LOS ANGELES – When the makers of “Joker” announced the 2024 sequel, speculation swirled that actress and singer Lady Gaga could play Harley Quinn’s partner.
Now, the Hold My Hand hitmaker has confirmed his appearance in the film by posting a musical teaser on social media. Gaga stars alongside Joaquin Phoenix, who won a Best Actor Oscar for his performance in the first episode, returning as the Joker.
Her teaser is set to ‘Cheek to Cheek’ and Gaga has shot to fame in her music career with Tony Bennett. Director Todd Phillips posted the cover of the script on Instagram on June 7, revealing the subtitle, Folly à Deux.
Variation, the term refers to a common delusional disorder, and is the Joker’s only real companion aside from Batman, a character first created in the early 1990s for Batman: The Animated Series.
