Mecca – When this year’s Mecca pilgrims go to Mecca, Zamzam vendors will greet you with water gushing from the well of the Grand Mosque, 21 meters east of the Kaaba.
Zamzam has an ancient history that dates back thousands of years to the days of Al-Khalil Ibrahim and his son Ishmael.
Zamzam (Zamzam water supplier) and its services have a long and outstanding history. Hassan Abu Al-Faraj, CEO and Director
Jamajima Co., told Arab News: His son Ishmael (AS) is in an uncultivated valley near the Holy Mosque, despite their farewells and repeated calls by his wife Hajar. I left and never went back.
He replied, ‘I did it by the command of Allah.’ She could not bear to see him crying after the water ran out and the baby started crying. He avoided her so that she could not hear her screams. She went to Al Safa and climbed the mountain, then went to Al Marwa.
He went from Safa to Marwa seven times and during his seventh search in Marwa he heard his voice and he said, “Please help me if there is anything good.” He piled up around the sand to save water, and he said, “Zamzam, Zamzam.” In Syriac it means “collection”. This is the meaning behind the name.
“In 1403AH (1983), the Unified Jamajima Office, now known as Jamajima, was established and undertook the task of supplying water to pilgrims from outside the state at the Guidance Center at the entrance to Makkah.
“The water of Zamzam is the first and last thing a pilgrim drinks as soon as he enters or leaves Makkah, because the water of Zamzam is also distributed to the pilgrims during the journey to the Tough Wise Center on the way out of Makkah.
In 2010, a project was launched at a cost of 700 million SR (186.6 million) to automatically fill and purify bottles.
It has several buildings, including a building for air compressors, a warehouse with a raw water tank, a building for the production line and a warehouse for processed bottles with a capacity to hold 200,000 bottles per day. Its total area
The factory covers more than 13,000 square meters. The building also has a 10MW standby generator that works with the system to control and monitor all levels of the project from pumping water from the well to the final stage of filling.
The production capacity of the automatic bottling line of Zamzam Water Bottling Center is 1,500 to 2,000 bottles per hour and daily production is 33,000 to 44,000 bottles.
