Asani, the extreme cyclonic tempest in the Bay of Bengal, is probably going to move in a northwesterly heading and debilitate into a cyclonic tempest over the course of the following 12 hours, said the Met office on Tuesday.
The cyclonic tempest moved west-northwestwards in the west focal Bay and abutting regions on Tuesday morning.
It was focused early Tuesday around 1,180 kms southwest of Chattogram port, 1,040 kms southwest of Cox’s Bazar port, 1,140 kms south-southwest of Mongla port and 1,045 kms south-southwest of Payra port, the Met office notice said.
