Bangladesh all-rounder Ace Shakibu Alhasan added a new wing to his colorful career in his second T20 match against the West Indies on Sunday at Windsor Park in the Dominican Republic. Bangladesh lost the match with a carry of 35 runs, but Shakib suffered an unbeaten loneliness from 52 to 68, becoming the second Bangladeshi batsman after Mahmudura Riyadh to reach the 2,000 carry milestone in this format. ..
However, after reaching the 2000-run milestone, he became the only player on the planet to score 2000 runs and take 100 wickets in the shortest cricket format. He currently has 2005 runs and 120 wickets in 98 matches.
He started a new chapter in this format, as he did at the 2019 Men’s 50-over World Championships, where he was the only player to win 600 (606 runs) plus runs and 10 (11 wickets).
Sometimes it won an enviable record plus wickets. However, he is the only player in the more than 50-year history of the World Cup to have more than 1000 runs and more than 30 wickets.
His record is enviable, but he is currently the best wicket-taker in the 120-wicket T20 format. His 2005 Lantern is Bangladesh’s second highest batsman, with captain Mahmudullah Riyad topping the list of 2021 runs.
