The then-president expressed concern that supporters who had gathered outside the White House that day for his fiery speech carried AR-15-style rifles, instead telling security to stop screening attendees with metal detector magnetometers to make the group look bigger, the witness testified.
“Remove the ifing mags; they didn’t come to hurt me,” Cassidy Hutchinson, a top aide to then-White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, told Trump that morning.
Hutchinson, announcing the Jan. 6 Capitol attack by Trump fans on the 6th day of the House of Representatives hearing, said the discussion was handed over to him, Tony Ornato, a senior Secret Service official who was Trump’s vice president of staff for jobs.
Trump fought with Secret Service experts who demanded him return to the White House and opposed joining angry allies at the Capitol where Congress was meeting to ensure Democrat Joe Biden’s victory in the official political race, Hutchinson confirmed, referring to his talks with Ornato.
Trump’s allies were animated by his fake lawsuit that the deviation of his 2020 political decision was the result of misrepresentation.
“I’m the acting president. Take me to the Capitol now,” Hutchinson said, referring to the annoyed Trump. He said Trump tried to get the directing wheel of a heavily guarded official car from the secondary lounge and jumped out of annoyance at an officer in the Secret Service.
Through virtual entertainment, Trump, a Republican, has blocked his record to get his activities.
Trump wrote in his web-based entertainment app Truth Social, “His fake story that I tried to control the Capitol building by snatching the wheel of management of the White House limousine is ‘erased’ and false.”
In an explanation, the Secret Service said it was assisting the House Board of Trustees and would “respond to documents to the council regarding new allegations raised in the current declaration,” numerous media outlets reported.
The Secret Service did not immediately respond to a request for input from Reuters.
Polls by many courts, political decision-makers and Trump’s own body have rejected claims of misrepresentation by an Italian security agency and the late Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez’s bizarre story of tampering with U.S. voting forms.
On the day of the attack, four people were kicked in the bucket, one was shot dead by police and the others for routine reasons. More than 100 police were injured and one was kicked in the bucket the next day. Four officers later committed suicide and kicked the bucket.
