Turkey threatens to block Finland and Sweden Nato bids

Turkey’s leader has repeated his resistance to Finland and Sweden joining Nato – only hours after they said they would look for participation, reports BBC.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan said the two Nordic countries shouldn’t try sending appointments to persuade Turkey, a key Nato part, of their offers.

He is maddened by what he sees as their eagerness to have Kurdish assailants.

Without the help of all Nato individuals, Sweden and Finland can’t enlist in the tactical union.

On Monday, Sweden said Europe was living in a hazardous new reality, alluding to Russia’s attack of Ukraine.
