A Chhattisgarh government helicopter crashed at the Raipur air terminal on Thursday night, killing two pilots, police said.
The occurrence occurred during a flying practice at the Swami Vivekananda Airport in Raipur under the Mana police headquarters limits around 9.10 p.m (India time), said Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Prashant Agrawal.
Two pilots on board the chopper were truly harmed in the accident and quickly taken to a close by private emergency clinic where they were announced dead, said the SSP.
The departed were recognized as Captian Gopal Krishna Panda and Captain A.P. Shrivastava, said the cop. The reason for the accident was not promptly known.
Boss Minister Bhupesh Baghel communicated distress over the misfortune and mourned the demise of the pilots. Mr. Baghel tweeted, “just discovered miserable insight into a state helicopter crashing at the air terminal in Raipur. In this grievous mishap, both our pilots Captain Panda and Captain Shrivastava died. May God invigorate their relatives and harmony to the left soul.”
