European football’s governing body UEFA has undertaken to “compensate” 2,700 ticket holders who were “deprived” of the chance to see the Champions League final between Liverpool and Real Madrid, France’s Sports Minister said Monday.
The start of Saturday’s match at the Stade de France in Paris was delayed by 36 minutes as chaos reigned at the turnstiles with Liverpool fans prevented from entering the stadium.
Some were pepper-splashed and tear-gassed by French mob police, others endeavored to scale the obstructions.
Many were in the long run ready to get to the ground after the match had begun however others passed up a great opportunity completely.
“We have asked UEFA, who have concurred with us, that these individuals be unequivocally distinguished and get prompt pay for this dissatisfaction they have endured”, said Amelie Oudea-Castera during a public interview.
She said there were 2,700 “non-enacted” tickets relating to a purchased a gathering ticket and who were “denied” of the match”.Some were pepper-splashed and tear-gassed by French mob police, others endeavored to scale the boundaries.
